New Technologies and the Future of the Internet
Saturday, January 14th, 2012Recently, technological advances have increased exponentially at an overwhelming rate. Our phones, our televisions and pretty much the way we do business online have changed; sometimes within the space of a week. It is now easier than ever to connect to the internet and do what needs to be done without having to be chained to your desktop computers.
Super-fast 4G internet is the next big thing mobile broadband providers have begun putting out. Imagine being able to stream entire episodes of your favorite show while you sit out in the park; achieving speeds comparable to your home desktop setup with nothing more than a laptop and a wireless USB modem.
With this brand new 4G technology, elusive and dodgy wi-fi hotspots are rendered obsolete with coverage intended to be so strong and clear that entire cities can be saturated in 4G signal. Obviously, it’s still being perfected like any other great new technology but as new hardware continues to rise and evolve in our daily lives, one can only look toward the future with open eyes and high hopes.
As the internet continues to evolve and the proliferation of information becomes even greater, it may come a time, one day, where all the things that we once thought were science fiction soon become scientific realities.
